Flower poster

I figured out how to text wrap in Illustrator and tried it with the cup mess that I was originally going to do but it didn't turn out how I wanted, and since I don't know illustrator well at all I went with the flower. I replaced some of the petals with the definition of rhythm. I thought it turned out pretty good, especially for my first project ever done in Illustrator. Now all I have to do is go print it for Tuesday. :)
If I am up for it, I'll be going to the fabric store so I can finish Darlene's make up bag, start my new laptop sleeve and get fabric to patch up Chris' pants. I hope to open my Etsy shop soon but I am not sure of how all the taxes and all that stuff works and I don't want to mess up and then end up owing the government money for not doing things properly.
EDIT:
I changed the color per Elaine's suggestion and I like it, it connects it all together better. :) What do you think?

  1. I like it! Seems like there should be a blue petal on the middle right for balance though. Is part of the design to have the words all over the flower? Or would it look better if the words were sent to the back with the flower predominantly over the words? Or will that ruin what you were going for?

  2. the text was formed from the petals that were there. Where all the text is, its within a oval that formed the petal if that makes sense. Some petals are behind the text and some type petals are behind the colored petals.

  3. I love the new project. What would it look like if the text was a blue and yellow too?? I am looking forward to hanging out with you when you get back!

  7. Now that I look at it from a distance I understand what you were saying about the text and the oval :)
