Salmon Polka

Finally I get a chance to take pictures of one of my favorite outfits! It was a rainy day when I got the chance to take pictures, but thankfully I was able to do it before it started. :)
Last week was super hectic especially for being my first week of my break. I worked 5 days and ran my butt off every day. Needless to say I am exhausted and didn't really get a chance to do anything super productive like I wanted to. Good news is that I will have more time this week :) There is so much I want to create, just have to make time to do it. I also updated my portfolio for an inquiring merchandiser last week so every minute I had went to that and sleep. I'm just excited that I'm working a lot, not only at work but at home.

Floral and Ivory

I wore this earlier this summer. Obviously since today is the first day of FALL! YAY! I'm super excited because with it getting cooler, I can wear my cute stuff. Granted summer is cute but its mostly tank tops and shorts for me so its nothing special most of the time. With me being super busy this past summer, I didn't get to do a lot of things, other than school. Back to the outfit, I love this flowy shirt. You will be seeing it more most definitely. I'm wearing my super skinny jeans with my roman sandals that have a small wedge, It was hot and I didn't want to wear flip flops. I feel like I should clarify since it was constantly in the 100+ degrees here in Texas. My school was freezing inside, so I either had to take a blanket or wear pants. I'm not that crazy, I promise lol.

YAY an outfit post!

This one was originally suppose to be posted last week.. But that's okay. I wore this for easter :) My sister Skyla absolutely loves it because of the leopard print on it.

The dress is from macys. I have found a few things from there that I actually like for once. My mom had a bunch of coupons so we saved a lot of mulah. :) The shoes are from DSW, which is where I get most of my shoes; but always in the back in the clearance section. I was wearing a tan cardigan with it but we apparently didn't take pictures with me wearing it. This is the only strapless dress that I have found that actually fits right on me.

St. Pattys day outfit

 Granted it is a week off but this is what I wore on St. Patrick's day. I already packed my tripod so I am back to improvising to take pictures but it makes for fun times. So my thought the night before last Thursday was what do I have that has green in it, that hasn't already been packed.. Oh my floral dress that I love so much lol. I got to school and looked down at my arm and realized that I didn't have to wear green because I am wearing green 24/7 on my arm. *smacks forehead* Needless to say I felt a little silly but I really like this dress so it was okay. I'm still in my first year of having my lamb tattoo so I'm just not use to it yet I guess.

 

Anywho, I was wearing a hat with this outfit but ended up not taking a picture of it in the picture oh well. Here's Busa been a silly puppy and running back home from going to who knows where.

 The weird thing is, is that when I took these pictures I felt fine, but later that night not so much. I had the stomach flu and it was bad.. I won't go into details but it wasn't pleasant. When Chris was getting his tattoo done that evening, needless to say no one expected a girl dressed up to come into the shop lol. He hasn't finished his side piece yet but it looks sooo sick looking. It is going to be a masterpiece.

Corduroy

I wore this yesterday and couldn't get in a good picture besides this one with Busa coming to lay in my lap with his bone lol. I was recently given corduroy leggings, the best part about them is that the but has pockets! :) So I knew that I needed to wear them soon and with limited resources to shirts I choose my grey baggy shit with a rope that goes with it; with of course my warm black stripe textured cardigan. Also with my lovely heel boots, which are my favorite boots and I pretty much wear them with everything. 

I finally finished my self portrait last night before Chris came home from work. :) 

I have to print it out today and mount it. I want to make some more portraits but not like this one. I've been working on this one every day for the past 2+ weeks without a wacom board. I am going to make one for Julie, for practice :). This one just took so long since I'm so new with it but I am slowly getting better. 

Gas is getting way too expensive, the cheapest around me is now 3.73 and I have to drive over 100 miles round trip just to go to school, and this quarter its 3 times a week.. but I only have 3 weeks left after today so hopefully it wont get really pricey to the point I can't make it to school. Needless make it back to Texas.
Last night Chris taught me how to use the grill :). I grilled salmon and it turned out really really well, I didn't take a picture of it because we were both really hungry. But just know that it was really good and if you would've been at our house last night you would've been in for a treat lol.

Fancy night outfit

When I was first playing with my tripod I quickly put this outfit on. I didn't add any accessories with it tho but Ill use it in a different outfit later. I really like this dress, it shows off my slenderness and fits my body shape really well. It is from Forever 21 and my shoes I can't remember where I got them from but they were the shoes I wore to my rehearsal dinner, they have a cute little bow on the back. :) I normally wear a cardigan with this and wear different shoes but I thought I'd give these heels a try.

No school today so time to do some homework. woot.

loose stripes

I love this shirt. I have never been a big fan of baggie shirts but this one changed my mind. It's from Forever 21 along with the pants, which was in a previous post, which also has the same hat in it. The shoes are from Urban Outfitters, which I got about 3 years ago, so I have no clue if they actually sell them anymore.

I really like it when shirts show my tattoo, which I am getting touched up when I move back to Texas (yay). I want to get my phoenix sleeve soon, but idk exactly how soon I'll be getting it. There are so many tattoos that I am wanting to get, and all have meaning to me, its just a matter of time. :)

last life of these tights

I love these tights, but when I put them on they ripped on the inside of my thigh but they lasted all day and no one could see so that was good. I can't remember where I got them, probably Target. I got the dress from Forever 21 right after Christmas, its one of my favorites. The cardigan, I can't remember where I bought it but I wear it with almost everything since it is pretty warm and I killed all my other cardigans from wearing them so much. The heart necklace I think is from Forever 21 too, but I've had it for a while too. My boots, my mom gave me over a year ago but I know they were from DSW.

Ruffles

I wore this outfit a couple days ago and thought it was interesting. I haven't worn the shirt or cardigan in a while so in my search in my closet I put this outfit together.

It would be awesome if I had a tripod and a better place to take pictures other than in my apartment but it also has been super cold outside. Granted, not as cold as it has been back home in Dallas with the snow storms and stuff (I wish I was there to play in it with Busa, I bet he would love it).

One of my classmates found my external hardrive and turned it in so it is safe and sound. The stress almost instantaneously went away. I am so relieved that there are still nice people in the world and I am so appreciative that she found it. Thank goodness!

Casual Fridays

Friday's are my favorite days (normally) due to the fact that I get to spend the weekend with my Hubby and we get to chill and spend time with each other. But this quarter that's not the case, Fridays are my long days. I wanted to be comfortable but without wearing a dress or being too dressy, so I decided to wear one of my favorite shirts. The thing is I can't remember who made it to save my life. I remember buying it online from an artist like 3 or 4 years ago, and that's about it. It makes me sad because I would love to have more shirts by this person. It is a drawing of a tree and hanging from the tree is a heart with a big blue eye on it. It is really cool because it literally looks like they drew right on the shirt and you can see all the cross hatching and such. My pants, I just recently got from Forever 21, very comfy and have 3 buttons on the bottom of each leg. My teal hat my mom bought for me, its my favorite that I have. While it is cold outside I have noticed that I favor Teal and Mustard the most (well... maybe all the time), I just seem to notice it more when it's cold. 

Thursday night as I was getting ready for bed my dear friend, and neighbor, texted me and offered me chocolate chip and reeses  cookies. (!!!) I was so surprised and jumped up and went over there. I was home just long enough to lock the door and one cookie had been devoured. I have to say they were AMAZING!! Best midnight snack ever. Sorry, my fat kid is showing. :)

Finished Laptop Sleeve

I am super excited that my laptop fits and it looks good. Didn't have many issue with it. I didn't understand the end of the tutorial so I did how I was taught and how I do my cosmetic bags. I am proud of this laptop sleeve and I love the print, love, love, love it.

 

This is the best picture I could get of the outfit I was wearing with me only being able to take the pictures. Basically, I'm wearing a blue dress (from Forever 21) with a Hello Kitty tank top over it (from Forever 21), with black stockings (from Target), black boots with a little bow and a black 100% wool cloche hat (from Banana Republic). When I wore this originally my hair was curly and it looked better then rather than my hair straight.

I got a lot done today, homework wise and finishing my sleeve, cooking, a little bit of cleaning, so it has been a good day. Hopefully I'll be able to fall asleep soon since I have to get up at 5:45 to go to school in the morning. Good night my friends.

Tutorial from Sew, Mama, Sew!

I went to the little fabric store in the town next to mine and got some wonderful midcentury modern fabric to create a laptop sleeve. The tutorial that I found would fit me the best is this wonderful tutorial from Sew, Mama, Sew! If I have time tomorrow (Wednesday) I will be working on it so then I can take it to school on Thursday. :) Needless to say I am excited.

I finally got my withdrawal form done at school today. I was running around campus for a good couple hours going back and fourth and explaining that I'm just transferring to Dallas, not quitting school. It is finally done, after all the hassle that I've gone through for the first couple weeks of trying it is finally turned it. So now it gets down to the more serious stuff, making sure everything is paid off at the Inland Empire campus and getting the needed paper work to Dallas. I will greatly appreciate some prayers on this.

I tried taking pictures on Monday to show my outfit, but it wasn't working out so I'll post pictures later on what I wore put together since I couldn't find my dress on the Forever 21 site. I have a lot to get done tomorrow with school and the things I would like to get done so I am off to bed. Good night everyone.
