Recipe Journal

Granted it's just a journal, but I thought it would be a very nice journal to put recipes in. I started working on this journal a while back, but didn't get a whole lot of time to work on it till this past weekend. I liked the way it turned out. I think I'll give it away at some point. I love making journals, I made a journal last quarter for my Form and Space class and it was chosen to be put on display at my campus. I didn't take a picture of it like I thought I did. :( Oh well.. I also had to make a journal, portfolio and a box for my final in Form and Space. That turned out well too, I only dropped my x-acto knife on my foot in the process.. which was really painful (it went 1/4 of an inch into my foot and caught part of my tendon, not so nice) Here is what I made.

I am really proud of these, I had fun making them. I put a little Texas outline on the outside of the box, and the inside of the portfolio and journal. There would be a couple things that I could improve on these but that's okay, I know for next time. The original box was covered with fabric too and was suppose to fit both the portfolio and journal, but I messed up on it and didn't have enough time to fix it or make another one of fabric so I made a different one for just the journal and covered with Mi Tienis paper. I had so much fun making these and look forward to making more journals and boxes. :)
